FPL VOLUNTEERS WILL PREPARE 100 “WE CARE” PACKAGES AT FORGOTTEN SOLDIERS OUTREACH – PART OF THEIR “POWER TO CARE” WEEK – SATURDAY, MARCH 11TH

Lake Worth, Fla. – On Saturday, March 11th from 9:00 to 1:00 p.m., more than 30 FPL volunteers will have all hands on deck at Forgotten Soldiers Outreach in Lake Worth to create “We Care” packages for U.S. military personnel deployed overseas.

IDEAL MEDIA TIME:  10:30-11:30 AM

This is one of more than 30 volunteer projects that are part of Power to Care Week, now in its ninth year. During the week, FPL volunteers will tackle community projects in 12 counties throughout Florida.

“We continue to be so grateful for FPL’s support,” said Lynelle Zelnar, Executive Director and Founder of Forgotten Soldiers Outreach. “Their commitment to working with the communities they serve is very special and much appreciated.”

Forgotten Soldiers Outreach is a local nonprofit that sends monthly We Care packages to deployed military personnel who face many challenges while away from home. The mission continues as “Supporting America’s deployed military service members to ensure they are not forgotten”.
