Initially in February 1980, President Jimmy Carter issued the first Presidential Proclamation declaring the Week of March 8th 1980 as National Women’s History Week. In 1987, Congress passed Public Law 110-9 designating March as Women’s History Month. Women in the United States have been celebrated for their contributions to history, culture and society with a month specifically dedicated to them, know as Women’s History Month! This is a great time to not only recognize the women who have made a difference in our country and our lives, but Forgotten Soldiers Outreach would like to especially acknowledge those women who has served and currently serve in the military!
Thank you to all!
